The Medical Laboratory Science program gives students the skills and knowledge necessary to earn entry-level jobs. Under the supervision of a medical technologist, pathologist, or physician, the MLT performs routine laboratory procedures such as hematology, parasitology, bacteriology, serology, blood banking, chemistry, and urinalysis. Upon graduation, students who pass the national certification can apply for positions with hospitals, clinics, medical practices, industry, pharmaceutical sales, and labs.
