Associate of Science in Radiologic Technology

The Associate of Science in Radiologic Technology degree prepares students for careers as radiologic technologists and radiographers. Radiographers are highly skilled professionals who perform X-ray procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. LSUA students are prepared for a variety of employment opportunities inside hospitals, surgery centers, private offices, imaging centers, and urgent care centers. Students may also choose to go into commercial sales, education or management. Upon graduation, students are prepared to complete the National Certification Examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

The Radiologic Technology Program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). The program accreditation status is Probation. LSUA is regionally accredited through SACSCOC.
